Preface
This article records my preferred products and other products I have trialed in relation to my 1999 Porsche 911 996.1 Carrera 2. This article will be updated on occasion. Wash & Detail
I tend to gravitate toward detailing products which are mild, long-lasting, and recommended by professionals. They are wonderful products with an easy-to-use product-to-towel-color system, sometimes a bit too “strong” for my taste. Over-time, I have experimented with other several other product lines, including products such as Sonax.

When I have to rely on products from the nearest retailer, I prefer to utilize Turtle Wax products. I have utilized Meguiar’s and Mothers on occasion when Turtle Wax is not available, yet I find myself trying to purchase Turtle Wax more so than the other two mass-market providers.

You spend the majority of the time within the cockpit. My recommendation is to keep strong chemicals outside of the cockpit as best as possible. If you have a clean garage that is well-sheltered from the exterior elements, leave the windows cracked for continuous airflow. When cleaning the vehicle’s interior, open all exterior windows, including the sunroof and turn-on the vehicle’s HVAC fans for enhanced ventilation.
